Red Sea Mall (RSM) won "RECon 2019" award for the Cause-Related Marketing category during an award ceremony held recently at Ritz Carlton Hotel in Dubai. RMC General Manager Al Rayan Gadouri thanked the Middle East Council of Shopping Centers, the organizer of the awards, for honouring RMC efforts to support productive families.

RMC supports productive families by providing them with free-of-charge spaces on its premises to showcase their products. The aim is to encourage these families and small businesses to play a role in sustainable development as key partners.

"RSM seeks to promote private business culture among the Saudis to increase and diversify production and develop the skills of productive families," said Gadouri. "We are proud that our productive family program has been a success over the past years. From the start of this campaign until 29 March 2019, we attracted 112 families. And today we are winning this prestigious award for our efforts to develop the standard of living in our society."

For his part, RSM Marketing Officer Omar Al Maghazwi said: "The marketing team made extensive efforts to make sure the success of the productive family initiative. Today we reap the fruits of our work. I dedicate this award to everyone who contributed to the success of the initiative, and we look forward to further successes as we develop our CSR program to serve the local community."

Many families started their own projects that later developed into promising businesses. Productive families participating in the RSM program thanked the RSM management for giving them the opportunity to display their products, noting that the initiative helped them develop their work and create a better life for them.

Concluding his statement, Gadouri said: "We thank everyone involved in the initiative and all those who worked for this award. We are proud of the success of the productive family initiative, which was a fruit of our cooperation with the General Organisation for Social Insurance, the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the "Ala Mazaji" groups. The initiative has undoubtedly encouraged handicraft work and small-scale family businesses and their contribution to the development process. We will continue to advance our CSR program and enrich it with new programs and activities to help achieve sustainable development in Saudi Arabia.
