Prince Khaled distributes prizes to winners of Qur’an competition

Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, emir of Makkah and adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, distributed prizes to winners of the 38th King Abdulaziz International Contest for Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Qur’an in Makkah Wednesday night.

Saleh Al-Asheikh, minister of Islamic affairs, call and guidance, and Sheikh Abdurahman Al-Sudais, head of the Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, were also present at the annual ceremony organized by the Ministry of Islamic affairs.

Faisal Bin Muhammad Miz’il Al-Harthi from Saudi Arabia won the first prize in the first category and received a cash prize of SR150,000. The second prize of SR125,000 went to Omar Muhammad Adam Qatti from Sudan. Anas Muhammad Abdulrahman Sulaimani from Morocco received the third prize of SR100,000.

In the second category, Ahmed Badea Ahmed Taha from Palestine won the first place and received a cash prize of SR120,000. Anees Arheem Ali from Libya won the second prize of SR100,000 and Abdulmalik Bin Muhammad Nabeel Naeem Idris from Saudi Arabia got the third prize of SR80,000.

In the third category, Muhammad Mahmood Al-Habib from Libya, Abdullah Khalifa Ibrahim Khalifa Hamdan from Bahrain and Isa Abdullah Adam from Cameroon won the first, second and third places respectively.

In the fourth category, Amir Al-Deen Abdullah Hassan from the Philippines, Rashed Mihanovic from Sarajevo and Ishaq Mutee’allah Said from La Reunion won the first three places.
