The Education Ministry announced that more than 2,000 nurseries in various regions of the Kingdom were ready to receive 18,000 children, under the care of 2,709 sitters, 2,185 administrative staff and 1,355 servants, according to a website.
The guide published by the ministry, which is available on its website, describes general rules and regulations of these nurseries. According to the website, they are being run in partnership with the private sector.
The Ministry of Education decided that there would be a minimum of 20 children, boys and girls, between the ages of one month and three years, to open nurseries inside a government school serving the children of its employees. It also accepts the children of employees of other educational branches to complete the required number.
According to the ministry, the nurseries should be in the building of the government’s educational department so that the children of teaching and non-teaching staff can benefit. In these nurseries only Saudi national sitters, who have completed secondary school education and special training in the area, would be appointed. The salaries of these sitters will be as per the rules of the Ministry of Labor. 
There will be one sitter for every five children between the ages of one month to 12 months, and one sitter for every six children between one and two years, and one sitter for every seven children between the ages of two and three.
Education Minister Dr. Azzam Al-Dakhil announced the opening of nurseries in government, private and foreign school buildings.
