Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has today announced the opening of its 6th annual Business Excellence Awards with four new exciting categories and a total of AED 220,000 worth of cash prizes to be presented to the most outstanding free zone and non-free zone businesses in Ras Al Khaimah. 

For the 3rd consecutive year, RAKEZ organises the awards programme in collaboration with Ras Al Khaimah Department of Economic Development (RAK DED). The new categories for 2019 are: 

Best Educational Provider, for RAKEZ companies that help enhance the quality of education in Ras Al Khaimah; 
Best Service Provider, for RAKEZ companies that provide consultancy, marketing, professional training etc; 
Best Business Leader, for leaders of RAKEZ companies that embody and inspires excellence; and
Happiest Workplace Environment, for RAKEZ and RAK DED companies that offer an engaging workplace. 

In addition to the abovementioned categories, RAKEZ clients are invited to apply for all the following categories, while RAK DED clients can participate on the first three: Best New Startup, Best Small Business, Best Contributor to Ras Al Khaimah Development, Fastest Growing Company and Best Industrial Company.

Similar to the previous editions, RAKEZ and RAK DED will be working with an independent judging panel from the International Performance Excellence (IPE) to select the winners.

To participate to the awards, entrants should complete one application form for each category they wish to apply for. Closing date for entries is on 20 October 2019, and the winners will be revealed during a grand gala event on 23 January 2020.
