The third annual conference and exhibition of SFDA concluded yesterday in Riyadh under the generous sponsorship of His Excellency The Minister of Health Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan al-Rabiah, and His Excellency CEO of the SFDA, Dr. Hisham Al-Jadhey who had cut the opening tape last Monday, announcing the start of the conference and exhibition in the midst of a group of attendees of ambassadors and commercial supplements, businessmen, business owners, doctors and specialists in the food, drug and medical devices sectors.

After this year's spectacular opening ceremony, which impressed the audience, His Excellency the CEO, The Vice President and guests toured the corridors of the exhibition and visited the pavilions of local and international companies participating in the exhibition, which this year numbered more than 200 companies, including 120 companies. More than 80 international exhibitors with a total of 3,500 brands, with the participation of 20 countries and 220 investors including Denmark, Pakistan, India, Jordan, Bangladesh, Australia and Sudan.

In an expected gesture, SFDA thanked the supporting companies for its initiatives launched by the Authority as part of its strategic plan this year, such as the Facility Assessment Program initiative, the Initiative for The Reduction of Fungal Toxins in Animal Feed, the Pesticide Reduction Initiative in Food, and the Follow-up Monitoring Electronic System Initiative. His Excellency CEO Dr. Hisham Al-Jadhey stated that the scientific program presented this year aims to activate the role of the ultimate consumer in protecting the society in an effective partnership that serves the country, in line with the objectives of the Authority since the launch of the conference in the past years. The number of visitors to the conference during the three days since its launch 30 September to 2 October this year exceeded 20,000 visitors from interested researchers, doctors, businessmen and investors with the participation of 35 countries and 180 Saudi national companies that played their role in 210 pavilions. During the three days, the conference presented 68 scientific workshops besides discussion sessions, during which 120 speakers from different disciplines were hosted and from all over the world. Mr. Mazen Al Ismail, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, stated that what distinguishes this year's conference from previous years is the huge media coverage of the conference, which in turn contributes to its support and marketing globally, and in increasing the number of local and international participations and the continuous solidarity between the employees of the Authority and the companies Supporting, pointing out the positive role of these companies in achieving the objectives of the conference and its vision that aims to achieve safety in the three sectors food, medicine and medical devices, and what motivates them by supporting others to participate, support and innovation, and if it were not for the wonderful solidarity between the public and private sectors, it would not have been achieved This vision.
