The Ministry of Health (MoH) has entered into a strategic partnership with a private company to improve its electronic health services in the Kingdom.
The agreement was reached in the presence of Health Minister Khalid Al-Falih and Elm CEO Abdulrahman bin Saad Aljdaa at the MoH headquarters in Riyadh on Thursday.
“Under the new program, an infrastructure will be created for the management of the health system and raise the efficiency and quality of services for the people,” Al-Falih said.
“The program will also enable the completion of the exchange of health information electronically — quickly and effectively. This will enhance the role of information technology in patient care.”
The minister said it will also include modern hospital management programs, central administrative systems and the system of archiving medical images, and the establishment of electronic health. "It will be within the development of smart mobile applications, which will provide services in a modern way in line with the paradigm shift taking place in the Kingdom." 
Aljdaa said the most important characteristics and advantages of the proposed technical solutions are to provide high quality services to citizens while maintaining their privacy.
“It is one of the major projects, and we are honored to work with the Health Ministry and feel the the size of the responsibility. We strive to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the ministry.”
