MoH seeks personnel for Haj

Health personnel who are interested in serving pilgrims during the coming Haj are requested to send their applications to the Ministry of Health for deployment on a temporary basis.

The Manpower Committee at the ministry will receive the applications through its website: https://systems.moh.gov.sa/Hajmanpower/candidateform/visitingverificatio.... Those interested can also call 011212458.

The committee stipulated that prospective applicants should obtain the prior approval of their respective sponsors for their temporary secondment. They should also possess valid classification certificates from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and submit applications with their mobile numbers and e-mail addresses.

Vacancies available are for professionals, such as cardiac consultants and specialists for heart diseases, doctors for intensive care units, anesthesiologists (consultants and specialists), and emergency physicians (consultants and specialists), doctors for renal and infectious diseases, professionals and technical intensive care nurses, cardiac nurses and first-aid nurses.

According to the General Directorate of Health Affairs for Haj and Umrah, there are some 100 primary health care centers and 17 emergency centers near the Jamarat Bridge in Mina. In addition to these facilities, a total of 16,000 units of blood have been stored for emergencies.
There are 25 hospitals in the holy cities, including seven in Makkah, nine in Madinah and four each in Mina and Arafat. There are 5,250 beds in the holy cities, including 500 for intensive care.

Some 22,000 health personnel are employed annually by the ministry to look after the health of pilgrims.
