Minister of Media meets Editors in Chief and writers in Algeria

Minister of Media Dr. Awwad Al-Awwad met Algerian editors in chief and senior writers here on Monday, on the sidelines of the official visit of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, to the country. The meeting was held in the presence of members of a Saudi media delegation accompanying the Crown Prince.

At the start of the meeting, Dr. Al-Awwad stressed the importance of Saudi-Algerian relations, which are based on firm foundations and permanent friendship. He said that the common ground between the two countries helps these relations become more distinguished.

Noting the current visit of the Crown Prince to Algeria, Al-Awwad said that the visit will open wider prospects of cooperation in all fields between the two countries, especially in the political and economic arenas. He also said that the visit would establish a new phase of bilateral relations at all levels.

Dr. Al-Awwad urged the media in both countries to work hard to consolidate the relations and help develop these ties. He also called for increasing cooperation, exchanging visits, organizing bilateral programs, and coordinating efforts between the media sectors in both countries.

He also called for the unification of the voice of the media to serve the common interests of the Kingdom and Algeria, and overcome all challenges facing the two countries.

The minister invited the Algerian editors-in-chief and media representatives to visit the Kingdom and participate in the events to mark Riyadh as the Arab Media Capital.
