Minister of Education delays exams of students in all schools in Kingdom on Thursday

Minister of Education Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh ordered the delay of the time of the start of student exams on Thursday in all schools in the Kingdom to nine o'clock in the morning due to the phenomenon of the eclipse of the sun and for the sake of their safety and the employees of the schools. He also instructed the universities to act as they deem fit in this regard.
This came in a press release published by the ministry, in which it stated that with the sunrise on Thursday 04/29/1441 AH corresponding to 12/26/2019, the Kingdom's sky witnesses a rare annular eclipse of the sun that starts at 05:30 and ends at approximately 07:45 in the morning. As the eclipse coincides with students going to schools to perform mid-year tests and in order to ensure their safety from looking directly at the sun with the naked eye and fearing the eye will be exposed to large doses of ultraviolet radiation, which may cause eye injuries, the start time of the exams is delayed.
