McDonald’s Saudi Arabia Energizes the Community’s Morning on National Breakfast Day

Over 133,000 Free Egg McMuffins Distributed in Stores across the Kingdom

McDonald’s Saudi Arabia represented by Reza Food Services Co. ltd, the exclusive McDonald’s developmental Licensee for the Western and Southern regions of the Kingdom and Riyadh International Catering Corporation (RICC), the exclusive McDonald’s developmental licensee for the Central, Eastern and Northern regions of the Kingdom, made the morning of March 9th more enjoyable for all their early customers who visited their stores between 6-11am, handing out 1,000 free Egg McMuffins at each of their breakfast-serving stores, to celebrate National Breakfast Day.

For the third year in a row, over 6,000 McDonald’s stores across Asia, Middle East and Africa participated in the biggest breakfast activation, where they gave away close to 400,000 free Egg McMuffins to excited customers on a first-come-first-serve basis. Over 133,000 133,606 Egg McMuffins were distributed to Saudi customers across all breakfast serving McDonald’s stores around the Kingdom.

Mohammed Alireza, Deputy General Manager of Reza Food Services Co. ltd, said: “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we at McDonald’s are committed to serving our customers a balanced and nutritious meal that will not only satisfy their taste buds, but will also help them energize their morning. We aim to provide our customers with an easy and affordable way to start their day, whether they are on the go or looking to enjoy a meal with their family and friends.National Breakfast Day is not solely an initiative to offer our customers free meals; it is a chance to leave a lasting taste of the importance of a balanced and delicious breakfast.”

“After three years of holding this event, we are seeing that a larger number of our customers are understanding the importance of a balanced breakfast, which is something McDonald’s provide with its extensive breakfast menu that includes scrambled eggs, tasty chicken sausage, crispy golden Hashbrown among the McMuffin range,” Alireza added.

The McDonald’s crew organized a special morning for a big group of children from Abjad Center, a non-profit organization that specializes in the care and provision of services to children of special needs, at their Tahlia store in Jeddah, where they took part in some fun and games, while enjoying their breakfast. Furthermore McDonald’s hosted more than 300 children from different schools at the Khobar Corniche, and also paid a visit to King Salman Hospital in Riyadh to distribute breakfast to their staff and patients. Employees at a number of offices around Jeddah were also surprised with unique office visits from the McDonald’s team, who spread the cheer while passing out Egg McMuffins.

Egg McMuffins are an iconic handheld breakfast consisting of a fresh Grade A egg, chicken roll and a slice of melted cheese, held together by a freshly toasted English muffin. The McMuffin range is now the brand’s signature breakfast offering, with more than 1.2 billion sold per annum worldwide.
