Max Fashion gives back to society through Al Qudra Lake clean-up

Max Fashion, the region’s leading value fashion retailer and part of the Landmark Group, organised a clean-up project on February 18, 2020. The initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme and focused on cleaning parts of Dubai’s Al Qudra Lake, a desert oasis which home to 175 species of birds.

Emirates Environmental Group organized the clean-up activity in association with Dubai Municipality. Employees of Max Fashion walked through Al Qudra’s 3km radius to remove plastic and other types of waste – collecting and removing 900kgs of trash from the lake and its environs.

Mr. Kabir Lumba CEO Max & Director at the Landmark Group said: “Our clean-up initiative to preserve the natural beauty of Al Qudra Lake represents progress towards connecting fashion and sustainability. By connecting our employees with community-driven initiatives and inspiring them to make a positive impact, we want to build a strong and environmentally-conscious company now and for the future."

Along with a Walk for Diabetes and organizing Iftars in labour camps during Ramadan, Max Fashion prioritizes CSR activities at a strategic level, ensuring that Max Fashion remains a purpose-orientated brand delivering value to its employees, customers and local communities.
