“Marathon of Colors” Concludes in Taif Season

The “Marathon of Colors” event, held as part of “Taif Season” from August 15-17, saw more than 3,600 runners compete over three courses, looking to win financial prizes worth 300,000 riyals. The races were accompanied by a range of entertainment events, proving very popular, especially with children. 

The organizing committee divided the event into three tracks, with day one reserved for families and people with disabilities, while the second was for amateurs, and the final day devoted to professional runners. In all, 3,649 runners competed, with awards given to families, people with disabilities, amateurs, people aged over 50, professionals, and Saudis competing in the professional race. 

Obeid Mohammed Al Nuaimi from the UAE took first place in the professional category, with Khalid Mohammed Abdulla Hazazi winning the amateur category, and Aqeel Ali Hashbel Al Qarni finishing first in the family race. Saud Sghayar Ghussayf Al Sufiani won the category for people with disabilities.

Entertainment events held alongside the marathon included the Carnival of Colors, the Art District, Happiness Theater, fireworks, and shows including "Drums, Colors, Fire, Bubbles, Light Games, Giants,” along with food, and areas for children’s games and sports challenges.
