Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman stressed the importance of paying attention to history and educating the new generations about the history of the forefathers of the nation.

“Their history is replete with accomplishments. Their role in laying the solid foundations of this country based on the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah must be highlighted,” the King said here on Wednesday during an honoring ceremony for the winners of the second edition of the King Abdulaziz Book Prize and the sixth edition of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Prize and Grant for studies and history of the Arabian Peninsula.

The two prizes were presented by the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah).

King Salman congratulated the winners, praising their scientific efforts to serve Saudi history and the Arabian Peninsula.
