iPads for smart school students

The Educational Services Department of the Royal Commission for Jubail (RCJ), represented by Al-Rowad Smart Secondary School, has distributed iPad to all new students at the beginning of the new school year.
Mohammed Al-Hajri, director of the Educational Services Department, said: "This positive initiative comes as part of the RCJ's commitment to developing the educational services provided to students in Jubail, improving the educational process and building the creative abilities of future generations."
"The RCJ aims to make a qualitative shift in the education process in the Kingdom by providing a stimulating electronic environment for teaching and learning in line with modern developments and global quality standards to help students gain knowledge and create innovative ideas," Al-Hajri said.
Mishal Saad Al-Harbi, director of Al-Rowad Smart Secondary School, said the school is a smart, integrated building fitted with the basic structure of teaching and work systems, but with the added benefits of electronic, interactive and integrated systems to meet the student's needs in terms of curriculum, follow-up, tests, grades, and assignments.
Al-Harbi said that this smart school provides the curriculum, electronic content and all additional educational tools for teachers, in addition to helping parents follow up on their sons and communicate with the school management easily, as the school is linked to an e-learning system that facilitates this.
He added: "The school is equipped with wireless internet access in all facilities and classrooms, electronic footprint technology, as well as a barcode system for attendance and dismissal," confirming that the new iPad devices are required for students in all academic classes.
Al-Rowad Smart High School was opened last year with the support of the Royal Commission for Jubail in order to keep up with developments and changes in the education system, especially with regard to the academic future of high school students, who are the most important link between basic education and higher education.
