In a global first, OSN, the region’s leading pay TV network, brings the exhilarating eight-part HBO mini-series, The Night Of, exclusively to all viewers in the region in a special preview screening, ahead of the series premiere to be  broadcast on Monday, July 11, 2016.

 

The special preview screening will be available from Friday, July 1, 2016, and OSN viewers will be treated to the first episode via OSN Play and OSN On Demand. 

 

Non-OSN subscribers can also watch and sample the first two episodes of the series on OSN.com starting from July 12, 2016. The show will have its weekly airing on OSN First HD Home of HBO, the same minute as the US, every Monday at 10pm KSA time.

 

The Night Of follows the story of Pakistani-American college student, Nasir “Naz” Khan, who lives with his parents in Queens, New York, the series delves into the intricacies of a complex New York City murder case with cultural and political overtones. It begins with Naz taking his father’s taxi to go to a party in Manhattan, but what starts as a perfect night for Naz becomes a nightmare when he’s arrested for murder.

 

The much anticipated series stars John Turturro, who starred in, Fading Gigolo and O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and Riz Ahmed from Nightcrawler. As the story unfolds, the police investigation, legal proceedings, criminal justice system and Rikers Island, are all examined in a chain of ricochet events as the accused await trial. 

 

The drama explores the dark corners of the criminal-justice system where Naz soon finds himself staring down an avalanche of evidence in the murder of a young woman on the Upper West Side.

 

Made by the creators of Schindler’s List, The Color of Money, HBO’s The Wire and the award-winning, American Gangster, Steven Zaillian and Richard Price are the team behind the eight-part HBO mini-series production, The Night Of.
