Garena To Stage Free Fire Continental Series (Ffcs) For Gamers In The Mena Region

Garena has today announced details of its Free Fire Continental Series (FFCS) competition that will see gamers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region put their skills to the test against international opposition.

The virtual tournament and Free Fire’s flagship international tournament for the year, will take place between November 21 and November 29 with the MENA region part of the EMEA Series. The EMEA Series will feature gamers from countries across the Middle East and North Africa as well as Europe and Russia.

As well as the EMEA Series, Garena will also stage the Americas Series and Asia Series, which will be held simultaneously.

Each series will have a prize fund of USD $300,000, bringing the combined prize pool for the FFCS to USD $900,000. The format will see teams navigate two stages: the Play-ins which will take place either on 21 November while the Grand Finals will be held on 28 November.

Seeding

The top-seeded teams from each local-level tournament will earn direct entry into each series’ respective Grand Finals. The rest of the teams will earn their place in the Grand Finals by beating other teams in the region.

The series will offer fans the opportunity to watch their favourite local teams go up against their regional rivals.

Competitive Format

With all Series’ following the same format, the teams in the EMEA event will battle over six rounds, across three maps: Bermuda, Purgatory, and Kalahari. They will aim to win points based on round ranking and the number of kills.
