Energy refers tender to explore oil and gas in Alazraq and Alsarhan

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has submitted a tender to explore oil and gas in Al-Azraq and Al-Sarhan areas on the British Southern Services Company, after qualifying them in accordance with the Ministry's standards.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Engineer Hala Zwati said in a press statement on Tuesday that the company will soon enter the stage of negotiating the terms of the production sharing agreement with the government in preparation for the process of ratification of the agreement by the Council of Ministers and the Council of Nation as appropriate.
She added that after the issuance of the law of the participation in production officially will start the company to carry out the necessary exploratory studies, and will dig exploratory wells and the implementation of seismic work in the regions of Azraq and Blue, according to the work plan agreed between the government and the company.

Zwati said that the marketing of the oil and gas areas in the Kingdom comes within the framework of a package prepared by the Ministry to promote investments in the extraction of oil and gas in the Kingdom, which was developed marketing packages dedicated to the marketing of open exploration areas.
The Director of Oil and Shale Oil, Engineer Ghosina Al-Helo, said that the qualification criteria provide mainly for the efficiency of the technical company, its financial standing, its expertise in the field and its commercial reputation, in addition to the Ministry's approval of the proposed exploration program for the exploratory period in the project.
