Emirates Foundation, the national foundation of the UAE established to facilitate public-private partnerships for empowering youth and energy leader Occidental renewed and reaffirmed their partnership for the coming three years with a commitment to support the Foundation’s various programs. 

 

As part of their commitment to youth in the UAE, Occidental will be actively supporting the Foundation’s various initiatives, particularly in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and volunteering.

 

Occidental’s longstanding partnership with Emirates Foundation, dates back to the establishment of the Foundation in 2005, under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Occidental’s sustained support has focused on furthering volunteering and science and technology in the UAE in line with the global energy company’s social investment mandate.

 

Ahmad Al Shamsi, CEO Emirates Foundation said, “At Emirates Foundation, we believe strongly in the power of collaboration with the private sector to foster a culture of science and innovation and strengthen the culture of volunteerism amongst our youth. Our partnership with Occidental demonstrates our joint commitment to this goal with initiatives that foster the growth of a STEM Learning Ecosystem, harnessing Occidental’s leadership in science and technology, while also encouraging a culture of volunteerism that strengthens social and economic development.”
