DBWC explores ways to maximize businesses’ impact through innovation

The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC), the official representative organization for business women, both professionals and entrepreneurs, in the Emirate of Dubai, hosted its October Network Majlis alongside Joshua Rajkumar from The Sustainability Platform. The workshop focussed on maximizing the positive impact organizations have on society and its bottom line.

The highly interactive session, which is designed for c-suite, executives and entrepreneurs focussed on innovation within the organization, is popular among institutes within Dubai and London for global MBA students as well as for entrepreneurs.

“Regardless of the size of any business, corporate social responsibility should be an important factor of its operating model,” said HE Dr. Raja Easa Saleh Al Gurg, President of DBWC. “An organization can impact society on various levels and as a business owner and proactive supporter of sustainability, it is important to understand how to implement strategic methods internally that then support external community initiatives.”

Joshua is a co-founder of The Sustainability Platform, an innovative social impact consultancy that operates out of Dubai, focused on maximizing and measuring social impact for CSR programs, NGOs, SMEs and social enterprises in the Middle East, South Asia, and the Caribbean. Under this, he is the Head of MENA for Hult Prize, the world’s largest social enterprise accelerator with a USD 1 million seed-capital prize tackling the planet’s most pressing problems.
