The Dammam corniche is a popular attraction in the region, attracting visitors not only from the Eastern Province and adjoining areas but also from neighboring Gulf countries.
There are many facilities along the Corniche which offering a variety of activities for all ages. Those visiting the Dammam Corniche, located on the Arabian Gulf, enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens and picturesque walkways.
King Abdullah Park, one of the major projects on the Dammam Corniche, is a favorite place and is equipped with all required services, including free Wi-Fi service, toilets, landscaping, children’s games, a magnificent view of the Arabian Gulf, walkways, rest areas for families, a number of restaurants and cafes, an open area for conducting shows and events, along with specially allocated areas for fishing.
An additional attraction is Al-Murjan Island; a man-made island provided with a bridge connecting it to the Corniche. Extending 4.5km into the Arabian Gulf, the island includes walkways, bicycle lanes, parking lots, rest areas, umbrellas, a cafeteria for drinks and snacks in addition to a tourist boat for cruises, and a floating cafe over the water.

Projects in Dammam include the King Abdullah Cultural Center, the largest project of its kind in the region costing some SR600 million. The center consists of a 2,500-square-meter theater, a 1,000-square-meter museum, a library, three exhibition halls, hotels, a commercial complex, and a park. On an artificial island, the cultural center is established in front of King Abdullah Park on the Dammam Corniche.

The authorities have spared no efforts to develop the Corniche and make it an attractive site for all tourists and visitors. Since its establishment, the Eastern Province Mayoralty has made great efforts to provide maintenance for the beach and all the projects there.

Moreover, the mayoralty has encouraged investment in the region which has created competition to provide the best services, including commercial complexes up to global standards in addition to entertainment centers for adults and children.
