Crown Prince visits Railway Polytechnic in Buraidah

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, visited on Wednesday the Saudi Railway Polytechnic (SRP) in Buraidah in Qassim region and met with qualified Saudi student trainees, who are working on the Haramain High Speed Railway, the North Railway line and the Riyadh Metro projects.

Upon arrival at SRP, the Crown Prince was received by Prince Fahd Bin Turki, deputy governor of Qassim, Nabil Al-Amoudi, minister of transport and chairman of the board of Public Transport Authority (PTA), Rumaih Al-Rumaih, chairman of PTA and SRP, and a number of senior officials, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Crown Prince was briefed on the training programs offered by the institute to the Saudi students, including train driving, maintenance of signals and control systems, maintenance of locomotives, station and passenger services, and maintenance of infrastructure.

The Crown Prince lauded the excellent performance of the Saudi trainees in the SRP and motivated them to exert great efforts in line with the Kingdom’s future and Vision 2030. The Crown Prince paid a virtual trip on a simulator for the mining train.
