Crown Prince arrives in Kuwait on Sunday

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, will arrive in Kuwait on Sunday in a landmark visit that will further strengthen bilateral ties in all fields.

The visit will be “another important milestone in the long and historic relations,” Kuwaiti Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sahab said ahead of the trip.

In a statement to KUNA, he said the strong relations linking Saudi Arabia and Kuwait in the past, the present and future are a great example for Arab nations to follow.

The Crown Prince will meet Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

The Crown Prince visited Kuwait three years ago.

“The visit is part of deep-rooted relations between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and will be a great opportunity to exchange views over a host of issues of mutual interest, as well as further cementing cooperation at different levels,” said Deputy Premier and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh in a statement.

Crown Prince Muhammad will meet senior Kuwaiti officials.

In an earlier Arab Youth Survey 2018, the Arab and Gulf youth had overwhelmingly supported the reforms Prince Muhammad is spearheading and view him as a strong leader who will shape the region over the next decade.

Arab youth, particularly in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, expect the Crown Prince to have a bigger impact on the region over the next decade than any other Arab leader.

The Crown Prince’s visit will further strengthen bilateral ties and also give shape to the GCC states’ wide-ranging economic reform plans, central to which are privatization and diversification from their oil-base economies.
