Copthorne Hotel Dubai, the popular 4-star hotel located in Port Saeed in Deira, has appointed Sri Widodo as the property’s new Executive Housekeeper.
With over two decades of housekeeping experience, Widodo previously worked with international and local hospitality chains in the Middle East and Indonesia such as Shangri-la, Nikko and Rotana. Before joining Copthorne Hotel Dubai, he was the Executive Housekeeper at Tamani Hotel Marina in Dubai.
Widodo will manage the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department at Copthorne Hotel Dubai, making sure that the guestrooms, hotel lobby, corridors and public areas are clean and tidy and the property looks fresh and attractive for business. He is also in charge of organising and planning the housekeeping team’s work schedules, the deep cleaning program for the hotel, training and development of staff and the management of the department’s financial success.
Glenn Nobbs, General Manager, said: “We are confident that Widodo’s lifelong experience as a housekeeper and his strong record of leadership will ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction, in keeping with the Copthorne Hotel brand standards.”
“I am very proud to join the Copthorne Hotel Dubai, becoming part of the rapidly expanding company that is Millennium Hotels and Resorts, and I look forward to making a positive impact in my new role,” stated Widodo of his appointment.
“The most successful housekeepers are those who take ownership of their property so we must create an environment where you can completely trust your staff to finish the job because they take ownership of the rooms or their assigned areas,” he added.
Widodo completed a Diploma on Hotel and Tourism from the AISI Hotel and Tourism Institute in Indonesia. He loves writing and considers Bali and Jordan as two of his best holiday destinations.
