"CBAHI" launches the 4th Orientation Program for the year 2017

As part of its awareness mission aimed at boosting the quality and safety standards in the healthcare facilities, the Saudi Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) launches the 4th Session of the Orientation / Training Program for the year 2017, on the national standards of hospitals. The Program is scheduled to inaugurate on 18th of November for two weeks, at the CBAHI’s premises in Riyadh.

 

Lasting for 2 weeks, CBAHI’s Program is attended by 52 hospitals from different cities in the Kingdom; each hospital participates with 7 specialists in a diverse of field specializations. During the program, 2 days are assigned for each domain, such as pharmacy and nursing. CBAHI selects the candidates in all specialties based on their competences, abilities and their readiness to work with the hospital’s management regarding the application of national standards.

 

Dr. Salem Al Wahhabi, Director General of the Saudi Center for the Accreditation of HealthCare Facilities (CBAHI), commented: "CBAHI’s attentiveness in applying the national standards within various healthcare facilities in the Kingdom are on a rapid move. This reflects CBAHI’s contribution to promote the healthcare services where quality is not compromised. Influencing patient’s satisfaction and loyalty to the facility is on top priority. It is so crucial to orient the health workers about the importance of the national standards that must be met in every healthcare facility. This is the gateway of achieving high quality and excellent medical services”.

 

The Program includes extensive discussion between the participants and audience. Expectedly, CBAHI’s unceasing interest in upgrading the standards in the Kingdom's healthcare facilities is highly appreciated. The superior role plays by CBAHI in the field has immensely help in raising the quality and the safety standards, supporting the healthcare facilities to better comply with accreditation standards and push ahead the levels of medical service delivered. 

 

“The standard maintain by CBAHI in the healthcare facilities in the Kingdom formulate the basis towards realizing patients' full satisfaction. Building patient loyalty requires on delivering him excellent services, this is what CBAHI tends to take”, Dr. Hamad Al Salhi, Assistant Director General for Planning and Development, stated.

 

According to Dr. Majdah Shugdar, Assistant General Director for Accreditation: “The field visit for accreditation carried out by a team of qualified and certified surveyors aimed at ensuring the availability of quality standards and patient safety. This has been realized through unified work mechanisms approved by the hospital management and being communicated to all workers and medical staff. The visit is also intended to endorse the accuracy and completeness of documentation in the medical files and verify the workers’ certificates and competencies before they involve in their tasks, to ensure that all physicians perform their medical duties in a dedicated yet effective manner”.
