Asir governor urges region’s groups, businesses to adopt and support talented students

Asir Gov. Prince Turki bin Talal stressed the interest and care of the Saudi leadership in developing education in the Kingdom and Asir in particular.
Prince Turki, who is also president of the Asir Development Authority, also noted Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s reception of the talented Saudi prizewinners from the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair.
His remarks came during his meeting with the presidents of King Khalid University, the University of Bisha, and the Electronic University.
The region’s education department directors and the General Administration of Technical and Vocational Training also attended the meeting.
Prince Turki reviewed competitions and their scientific value, aspects of cooperation between educational authorities, and the support required from the development authority through coordination and follow-up.
They also discussed how to encourage bodies and businesses to adopt and support the winning inventions and innovations according to criteria that would elevate the region to international levels.
Prince Turki ordered to intensify these efforts, provide care for male and female students, accommodate their needs in terms of their educational orientation, and provide an educational environment that contributed to achieving success.
