Aljomaih Automotive, one of General Motors’ leading dealers for Chevrolet and GMC in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, announced the arrival of the all-new Chevrolet Silverado 2019. The long-awaited Silverado 2019 received a complete makeover to become bigger, stronger and lighter than its predecessor.
Sheikh Waleed Al Abdullah Aljomaih, Chief Operating Officer, Aljomaih Automotive, said: “Silverado pickup trucks are renowned worldwide for their quality, strength and durability. Chevrolet was keen to build on this legacy to develop an all-new generation of Silverado trucks”.
"The new Silverado is 204 kilograms lighter, thanks to the use of a mix of aluminum and iron throughout the chassis, making it durable, lighter and more fuel-efficient." Sheikh Waleed Aljomaih added.
The new generation of Silverado trucks comes in six different models, each with an independent character and unique specifications to suit all tastes and fulfil customers’ needs.
The new Silverado will be available in five engine options, including a 4.3-liter V6 engine and a 5.3-liter V8 engine, both equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission and an Active Fuel Management technology. Silverado also introduces three new engines, including a 2.7-liter turbocharged engine with an Active Fuel Management technology and an 8-speed automatic transmission, which will replace the 4.3-liter V6 engine in the LT1 and RST categories.
Additionally, there are two V8 engines, the first has a 6.2 liters capacity and a 10-speed automatic transmission, while the second has a 5.3-liter capacity and an 8-speed automatic transmission. Both engines implement the Dynamic Fuel Management technology, which helps save fuel by deactivating unnecessary cylinders.
As for the interior, Chevrolet redesigned the Silverado’s cabin to be more spacious than its predecessor, offering rear seat passengers an additional 7.6cm of space. The Silverado 2019 also includes a range of high-tech features such as wireless charging, an Infotainment system with an 8-inch screen supporting Android Auto™️ and Apple CarPlay™️ and a rear camera mirror. The all-new Silverado 2019 comes with a comprehensive package of advanced safety features such as Pedestrian Braking, Blind Zone Alert, Low Speed Automatic Braking, and Lane Keep Assist.
