Al Naghi technicians win the Grand Master title during the LG Olympiad for Maintenance Skills

More than 44 technicians from the Maintenance Department participated in the LG World Olympiad held in Korea, representing LG dealerships and distributors around the world.

 

LG organized a two-day World Maintenance Skills Olympiad in which participants had to undergo several challenges that test their skills. At the end of the Olympiad, the winners were selected based on their performance. The gold medal was won by the joint team of Al Naghi Company in Saudi Arabia, one of LG Electronics’ main distributors.

 

The competition is organized by LG every year to improve the skills of maintenance technicians around the world. During this event, senior technicians from each country were invited to participate in the skills competition that will test their technical and professional knowledge about the LG products. At the end of the Olympiad, winners were selected for the Grand Master title for excellent skills.

 

Mr. Ashraf Haragy, Service Manager of LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, said:"LG is always keen to upgrade the services offered to its customers worldwide. This event is the first-of-its-kind in terms of enhancing the concept of after sales services by selecting the most skilled and efficient technicians in order to provide better services to customers in the Middle East and Africa."

 

The LG 2018 Maintenance Skills Olympiad provides service technicians with the latest technical knowledge to handle any product complaint immediately. The winning participants represented the Middle East and Africa region during LG's annual event in the South Korean capital of Seoul.

 

LG Electronics also gave the winning technicians an opportunity to spend time at the LG Research Center in Seoul. The technicians gained new perspective and had a great experience learning about the Korean culture and visiting many attractionsin the Korean capital.

 

This annual initiative from LG Electronics stems from the company’s focus on developing the best human resources as the foundation for success.The initiative is aimedat improving the service offered to LG customers by recognizing the skill levels of maintenance technicians in the Middle East and Africa region and rewarding them for their excellence.In addition, LG Electronics is always keen to provide an enhanced level of service that is consistent with the quality of its products, which are popular in the region and the world.
