Accenture to Help Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) Speed Service Delivery

Etihad Etisalat (Mobily) announced that it has signed a SAR 180 million (USD$48 million), three-year contract with Accenture (NYSE: ACN) to help speed the delivery and enhance the customer experience of mobile services for its Mobily subscribers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Under the agreement, Accenture will provide application development services to Mobily, encompassing end-to-end software development, delivery and implementation across Mobiliy’s business support systems (BSS) platforms and technologies, with a focus on time-to-market and cost reductions.

“Leveraging Accenture’s proven experience in BSS, we expect to consolidate our BSS operations, shorten our IT delivery life cycle, as well as improve our time-to-market and quality of software,” said Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, general manager, Customer Management Applications Mobily. “As a result, we will be able to provide enhanced customer service by accelerating the delivery of new offers, and introduce new campaigns and promotions to our client base, as well as improve cost management across our BSS capabilities.”

“BSS is used by communications companies to manage their services and their customer base, so it’s truly the lifeline to customers,” said Gerardo Canta, managing director of Accenture’s Communications and High Technology Middle East. “BSS transformation is an imperative for communications service providers such as Mobily that want to maintain their competitive edge and bring innovation to their customer operations.”
Accenture will also help Mobily achieve high service levels by implementing standard processes, methods and tools for software development and deployment, as well as data analytics to track performance, monitor progress, and measure and target subscribers’ requirements.
