ABU DHABI SYSTEMS AND INFORMATION CENTRE TO HOST THE 6th ABU DHABI E-GOVERNMENT FORUM NEXT WEEK

EMIRATI STUDENTS FROM A NUMBER OF LEADING EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS EXPECTED TO SHOWCASE THE LATEST IN ICT YOUTH INNOVATION
Abu Dhabi, 6 June 2015 – Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Centre (ADSIC), the pioneering Government entity responsible for the UAE capital’s ICT agenda and transformation efforts, is gearing up to host the 6th edition of the Abu Dhabi e-Government Forum under the theme ‘Towards a Digital Abu Dhabi’ at the St. Regis Hotel, Corniche on 9th June 2015.
Designed to showcase the various operational developments, insights and ICT best practices that are envisaged to further transform the level of e-government services across Abu Dhabi, the event is expected to draw [Insert details] Government entities, [Insert details] ICT companies from the private sector and [Insert details] Emirati higher education students who will convene in Abu Dhabi as part of the e-Government efforts to build human resource capacity, strengthen technical competencies and upgrade service levels for all end-users. ADSIC will also deliver a comprehensive presentation on the Abu Dhabi Smart Government Strategy and Data-Driven Digital Services, which sheds the spotlights on the role of Government entities in implementing this strategy and the latest progress achieved.
Speaking ahead of the 2015 e-Government Forum, H.E Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General at ADSIC stated, “ADSIC is committed to ICT modernization and reinforcing the concept of e-Government by exploring new ways of integrating public and private services for people from all walks of life. This commitment stems from our mandate to improve government performance and optimize services to create a truly customer-centric environment.”
“We are looking forward to the notable involvement of a number of university and college students in the 2015 edition, who are gearing up to showcase the accomplishments of youth in the ICT domain, to international audiences.”
Al Mansoori added, “We strongly consider the 6th edition of the e-Government Forum as one step closer to realizing Abu Dhabi’s Vision 2030 of forming a sustainable knowledge-based economy and a practical opportunity to showcase the latest milestones by our Government constituents and partners in the realm of ICT conversion. The event is also key to knowledge transformation by bringing together some of the top industry professionals and subject-matter experts to the capital on a local, regional and international level.”
The DG went on to say the 2015 edition has placed special emphasis on innovation from inception to implementation, processes to continuity and obstacles to potential opportunities.
The 6th Edition of the Abu Dhabi e-Government Forum will include a number of insightful and engaging presentations revolving around Abu Dhabi smart Government strategies such as the [Insert presentation name] by the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA), ICT Strategy – Enabling the Business of Education by the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC, and Integration of intelligent Transport Systems in Abu Dhabi by the Department of Transport (DOT).
A number of well-known international private sector representatives will also deliver interactive presentations on a number of exciting ICT topics such as ‘Data-driven Digital Services’, ‘Government Mobile Platforms’ and ‘Innovation in Government’.
Other notable features of the 2015 edition will include an ‘Innovation Exhibition’ and ‘Recognition Ceremony’ for participating Government entities, as well as several breakout sessions by the Forum partners such as ‘CityNext – Empowering Real Impact for a Better Tomorrow’ by Microsoft, ‘A Location Platform for Sustainable Smart Cities’ by Esri and Government Digital Transformation by Oracle.
