International stars and the cream of the Arab music world are set to perform for thousands of fans as part of a fan festival to celebrate the first staging of the ‘Saudia’ Ad Diriyah E-Prix.

Set against the stunning backdrop of UNESCO heritage site of Ad Diriyah, the Formula E race is the centerpiece of a three-day festival of music, entertainment, culture and racing action.

As part of that, as many as six major artists will be performing each night of the festival, with two renowned artists setting Ad Diriyah alight on December 13, 14 and after the race itself on December 15.

The names are yet to be revealed but organisers say that fans should book early.

His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz Bin Turki AlFaisal Al Saud, Vice-Chair of the Saudi Arabia General Sports Authority, said: “The ‘Saudia’ Ad Diriyah E-Prix is set to be the hottest ticket in town for so many reasons, from breath-taking electric racing, to entertainment, to culture. Soon everyone will find out who is coming, and we can promise a festival of music that offers fans, friends and families an unmissable experience.

Prices start from SAR395 and are available from www.ad-diriyah-eprix.com, with fans able to watch all the incredible action from the seated grandstands, have access to the E-Village packed with race-related fun and a second entertainment area filled with cultural activities and fun for all the family. And, ticket holders will get access to the post-race concert. From single day tickets up to hospitality packages across the three-day festival, there are offers for all.

As well as online at www.ad-diriyah-eprix.com, fans in Jeddah will be able to buy their tickets, and get an exciting preview of the race, at the upcoming ‘Road to Ad Diriyah’ event on the corniche from November 22 to 24. With racing simulators, an outdoor cinema, VR attractions and a second-generation Formula E car on show, there will be fun for everyone.

Plus, for keen gamers, the ‘ABB FIA Formula E Road to Ad Diriyah’ eSports tournament will host another qualifying heat. Two winners will have the chance to go on to compete at Ad Diriyah at the final on race day, with prizes worth SAR1 million on offer.

The ‘Saudia Ad Diriyah E-Prix’ is the first in a 10-year partnership between ABB FIA Formula E and the General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia (GSA) and the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation (SAMF).
