The Saudi Academy of Cyber Security Programing and Artificial Intelligence and the CyLab Security and Privacy Institute at Carnegie Mellon University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, signed on Wednesday an integrated partnership agreement.

 

The academy is in the phase of formation under the Saudi Federation for Cyber Security and Programming.

On behalf of Saud Al-Qahtani, advisor at the Royal Court and president of the Federation, the agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullah Al-Dahlawi, dean of the academy, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

 

“This landmark agreement will support the establishment phase of the academy in accordance with the standards of the prestigious international universities,” Dahlawi said noting that Carnegie Mellon University ranks first among American universities in the field of higher education programs in cyber security. “One of the fruits of this partnership is the opening of academic and research cooperation with the university, which will contribute to the design and preparation of the content of cyber security academic programs at the academy.

 

The agreement also paves the way for dispatching a number of students from the academy for training or pursuing Master’s degree in micro-security specialties at the university.
