femMED launches comprehensive supplement solutions for women’s most common health concerns in the UAE

femMED health supplements for women, renowned for providing comprehensive natural solutions to women’s most common health concerns, recently entered the local supplement market with its unique range of premium, gender-specific products. femMED’s range of remedies have been developed to address specific health concerns and promote women’s health at every age and stage of life. Five of its 20 unique formulations are currently available in the UAE.

According to the market research report, by FMI Research, titled “Global Industry Analysis and Opportunity Assessment 2015-2025”, the global dietary supplement market is expected to reach USD$253 billion by 2025, reflecting a CAGR of 7.4.   Growth of the industry is mainly driven by rising consumer health awareness and an inclination towards prevention of health problems.

The comprehensive solutions provided by femMED are well received in a market dominated by single ingredient products.  The femMED product range is developed to the highest standards of ingredients and manufacturing processes.  In the UAE, femMED partnered with NewBridge Pharmaceuticals, a well-established specialised regional healthcare company with headquarters in Dubai.

Commenting on femMED’s launch in the UAE, Dr. Baher Massoud, Chief Medical Officer – Africa, Middle East & Turkey, NewBridge Pharmaceuticals, said:

“We are delighted to launch a new line of high quality all-natural supplements to physicians and patients in the UAE. femMED is delivering doctor-formulated products that will address unmet health needs and improve the overall well-being of women in the UAE.”

The rapid growth experienced by the global supplements market has been attributed to increasing healthcare costs that are influencing a shift by consumers to products such as health supplements. In addition, with increasing age, it is difficult for the body to absorb the optimum levels of nutrients required from food, which is where supplements have become a popular option.

Dr. Massoud added:

“By developing vitamins that target specific areas of women’s health, such as Bone Health or Hair, Skin and Nails, we are helping women identify and select a product that is suitable for their individual needs. Our solutions are developed by doctors, but easily recognized and understood by consumers. By eliminating the ‘guess work’ often associated with supplements, we ensure that women are only consuming what they actually require.

Manufactured in Canada, femMED’s supplements contain only the highest quality vitamins, minerals, and herbs. The products are free of dairy, egg, artificial colors and flavors, and most are gluten free.  The capsules are vegetable-based. In the UAE, five vitamin supplement lines are available, including Bone Health; Hair, Skin, and Nails; Pregnancy; Pregnancy + Ginger; and Multi + Antioxidants.
