The Digital Revolution has transformed radically the very nature of cinema -from his photographic origins to a present where each image is a group of data in a hard drive-: not only the way movies are made but also its circuits of distribution and consumption are submitted to change. In that context it's important to redesign also the way we think and write about movies. New tools inspire new forms of doing film criticism: from the video essay to the common weblog there is a fascinating landscape of possibilities. The aim of this workshop is to help participants to develop their skills in that area trying different methods of approach to a constantly changing and fascinating reality.
