adidas is delighted to announce a new date for the special visit of Al Ahli football star Omar Al Somah. After helping his side to get to the top of the league Al Somah will now help adidas celebrate launch the opening of the new adidas HomeCourt store in the Al Salaam Mall. 

Al Somah recently signed a contract with the leading global football brand and now sports fans across Jeddah are invited to meet the current top goal scorer in the Abdul Latif Jameel League. Al Somah’s goal scoring performances have powered his team to the top of the league table and on the verge of winning the league championship for the first time since 1984. 

A favourite of the fans, Al Somah had to reschedule his visit to the store last week to allow of last minute preparation and focus with his team. But it was a wise decision. After scoring two of the 3 winning goals against rival title contenders Al-Hilal earlier in the week, Al Somah will now be able to celebrate the opening of the all new adidas concept store knowing his team sit at the top of the league. 

The 27 year old Syrian international, known for his accurate, bending free kicks and deadly finishing in front of goal, scored 31 goals in 33 games last season (2014-2015) and has already bagged an impressive 27 goals in 27 games this season in all competitions. With the new adidas relationship, the goal scoring machine will become an adidas X player, wearing the new adidas X range boots designed specifically for attacking players to give incredible control and cause chaos on the pitch. 

For all sports fans in Jeddah and media there will be opportunities to get up close with Omar during a special meet and greet session at the launch of the new HomeCourt store. The star player who has scored 21 league goals this season will sign autographs and pose for fan pictures. 

With its new, interactive store concept HomeCourt adidas turns retail into a place where consumers can feel the energy of the game, the thrill of the event and the frenzy of the fans. The latest HomeCourt store will be the first of its kind in Jeddah with the concept developed in line with adidas’ love of sport, celebrating the brand’s proud and authentic sports heritage and giving consumers the best possible in-store experience. 

Omar Al Somah is expected to arrive at the store at 8.45pm on Saturday April 30th.
