NWC makes plans to meet Zamzam water demands during the Omra Season

The NWC is the main operator of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz project for Zamzam. The company started preparations early this year and increased the daily production capacity of Zamzam bottles in order to meet the expected increase in demand during the Ramadan season.

There are four production lines and a packaging plant with a maximum capacity of about 200,000 containers daily and a storage capacity of 1.8 million containers. Additional storage cabin capacity is 10,000m3, with additional storage cabins in Keddy and Sabil with a capacity of 26,000m3

The project uses the state-of-the-art automatic mechanism for refining the water from well to plant, then filling it in 10 liter plastic containers and finally distribute containers to consumers… all without any human interaction. The project has produced more than 95 million bottles of Zamzam water since its establishment.

There is now a transportation service at the Jeddah and Medina airports where visitors can easily get Zamzam containers that have been pre-packed for air transport for a small fee.
The project employs about 300 people, which will be increased to meet customer demands, particularly in the customer services division where service providers were increased by 100 percent. The project will be operated around the clock and staff will be on hand to answer all questions.

Eng. Abdulaziz bin Mesfer Alwadi, the manager of the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz project for Zamzam, says that all of these inovations and advancements have been done according to the guidance of the late King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz (God rest his soul) for the benefit of Muslims and Islam, so that all visitors have easy access to the blessed Zamzam water.

Alwadi asks visitors not to deal with peddlers and to get Zamzam water from official sources: the project location in Keddy and sale points at the airports.
