TV Star Pierrette Katrib Announced as The Face of Pronamel
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) launched the new Pronamel Extra Freshness toothpaste on 22nd of Oct. with an exclusive event held in Dubai. In addition to highlighting the product’s various properties – which help to protect tooth enamel from the effects of dietary acids – the launch also served as an ideal platform to announce the brand’s new Ambassador, acclaimed Lebanese actress and TV presenter Pierrette Katrib.
The newest addition to the Pronamel product range, Pronamel Extra Freshness boasts a fresh mint flavor and helps to protect tooth enamel from the effects of acid wear. In fact, most people are not fully-aware of the effects that can be caused by certain everyday acidic foods and drinks – such as fruits, sodas and juices – which can, over time, make teeth appear yellow and dull. As the most recommended toothpaste for acid wear in the Arab World, Pronamel helps to strengthen and re-harden acid-softened tooth enamel!
As a renowned celebrity with a longstanding career in the TV industry – dating back to 2001 – Katrib has experienced first-hand the undeniable power of a megawatt smile. Indeed, the popular actress has garnered immense recognition in the region following her roles as Nadine in Hany Tamba’s ‘Melodrama Habibi’, and as Racha in ‘Ruby’; she is also the much-loved co-presenter of ‘Akhbar al-Sabah’ on Future TV, and ‘Swalefna Helwa’ on Dubai TV.
“I am honored to have been chosen as Pronamel’s Brand Ambassador,” said Katrib. “I enjoy a healthy diet of fruits and salads, which can be high in acidity; luckily, my dentist introduced me to Pronamel to help protect my teeth from the effects of acid wear. As an actress constantly in the limelight, I am all too familiar with the importance of tooth care and the influence of a beautiful smile that shines bright. There is no doubt: Pronamel Extra Freshness helps me to gain teeth confidence and helps to keep my tooth enamel both healthy and beautiful.”
Ziad Alameddine Pronamel’s Marketing Manager added, “Impeccable oral hygiene is a core component of a healthy appearance – which is why we selected Pierrette Katrib as Brand Ambassador. Her energetic personality, healthy lifestyle and vibrant smile truly epitomize this product!”
About Acid Wear
Acid wear, also known as acid erosion, is the wearing away of the protective enamel on teeth, often caused by exposure to everyday acidic foods and drinks. Tooth enamel is the hardest substance in the body, but when we consume everyday acidic foods and drinks such as fruit, fruit juices, carbonated beverages and vinegar-based salad dressings, our enamel is temporarily softened. Over time, this weakened surface can become thinner and be gradually worn away by brushing our teeth. Loss of tooth enamel cannot be reversed; if we do nothing to protect teeth from ongoing acid wear, it could lead to more serious dental problems. It is important that you ask your dentist for advice on how to best protect your teeth from the effects of acid wear.
