|Oman Air Hosted 100 Young Players At Oman-Egypt Friendly In Salalah
One hundred young footballers from the Governorate of Dhofar, in southern Oman, got the chance to support their national team at this week’s Oman-Egypt match, thanks to Oman Air. The match which was watched and cheered by many ended in a draw. The score was 1-1.
The national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman had invited the youth football league players to attend Wednesday’s friendly international as guests of Oman Air at the A’saada Sports Complex in Salalah. There they did not only cheer on their national side, but also represented the future of Omani football and enjoyed the airline’s trademark hospitality.
In addition, Oman Air selected the Man of the Match, Mr Mohammed Al Balushi of Oman National Team, who was presented with a ticket to travel on Oman Air’s award-winning business class service to any destination of their choice within the airline’s network.
Oman Air’s invitation to the young football players continues its commitment to supporting young people in Oman to achieve their full potential and reflects the airline’s role as the key partner for the Oman national team and official carrier of the Oman Football Association.

Fans of the Oman national team can support their team by taking part in the “Support the Shirt Pledge” campaign. Participation in this campaign is free and it is a fantastic way for fans to show their solidarity with the team. Fans are already showing their support, as the Oman national team prepares for qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Jordan in October.
Oman Air also gave fans the chance to win economy class return tickets to any of Oman Air’s 41 destinations. Air tickets were won by fans who bought the national team jersey in Salalah and by fans who attended the match.
