(UEMedical) Pledges 1 Million AED Worth of IVF Treatments to Help Childless Couples at HealthPlus Fertility Center in Abu Dhabi

Following the directives of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to mark 2017 as the "Year of Giving", United Eastern Medical Services (UEMedical) in Abu Dhabi has announced the allocation of 1 Million AED worth of free treatments at the HealthPlus Fertility Center to assist couples with limited income suffering from infertility,

Mr. Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa Al Hammadi, CEO & Managing Director of UEMedical in Abu Dhabi said, “The ‘Year of Giving’ enforces the social responsibility of the private sector to serve the country and contribute to its development. At UEMedical, we have always been keen to support and give back to the community and have adapted several initiatives under our corporate social responsibility strategy since the group was established; and this year, we have decided to double our efforts in line with the Year of Giving.”

“This 1 Million Dirhams IVF Campaign will run until the end of the year. Our counselors in UEMedical and HealthPlus Fertility Center will immediately start receiving applications in person at our HealthPlus Fertility Center located in Abu Dhabi City from couples suffering from infertility. A committee has been formed to review each case based on multiple socio-economic factors as well as the couple’s medical condition. To qualify, the couple should have no children, and have limited income.”  Mr. Al Shorafa Al Hammadi added. “Such an initiative represents another step for UEMedical in the realization of the UAE leaders’ vision to support the community with such opportunities in the Year of Giving.”

Majd Abu Zant, CEO of HealthPlus Network of Specialty Centers, part of UEMedical, stated, “Our 1 Million AED Campaign will include offering free IVF treatments to couples in need at the HealthPlus Fertility Center in Abu Dhabi. The center achieves success rates of almost 50%, which means one in every 2 couples will have a positive outcome. This places us amongst the top performing fertility units when compared to countries like UK, US and Australia. The center provides different treatment options for couples suffering from delayed pregnancy, infertility problems, and cases of repeated miscarriages, in addition to men and women who need to preserve their fertility before undergoing chemotherapy. The center also receives couples who need genetic tests prior to IVF to exclude any genetic diseases or other cases that can affect the fetus. The center is amongst the largest in the Middle East and has performed more than 2700 infertility treatments last year. This number is expected to increase significantly this year, in light of the increasing demand for our services.”

“Couples who have been selected under this campaign will be evaluated and will undergo the suitable treatment plan by our expert IVF physicians at HealthPlus Fertility Center. UEMedical will cover the entire cost for all treatment necessary for the selected couples within this initiative”, Mr. Abu Zant concluded.
