UAE Exchange Partners with Dubai Police to Raise Road Safety Awareness for 5,000 Blue-Collar Workers

UAE Exchange, the leading global money transfer, foreign exchange and payment solutions brand, had organised a road safety awareness session for 5,000 blue-collar workers in association with the Dubai Police.

The event, held at the Sonapur Camp in Dubai, was designed to improve safety awareness and knowledge of the UAE traffic rules for workers in the UAE. The initiative follows a research indicating that blue-collar workers in the country are at risk of traffic accidents due to lack of awareness of the country’s road rules.

Corporal Omar Muslim Osman from the Dubai Police addressed the audience on the traffic bylaws of the country and the safety precautions to be taken while crossing the road.

“UAE Exchange has a track record of reaching out to the migrant blue-collar workers and help improve their quality of life, be it through financial inclusion, or educating them on road safety. We are proud to have partnered with Dubai Police in a campaign that helps keep people safe, and reduces the risk of accident or injury,” said Abdel Kareem Alkayed, Country Head, UAE Exchange - UAE.

The brand also organised a musical festival at the occasion to entertain camp residents. The initiative builds on previous road safety awareness conducted by UAE Exchange in collaboration with the Dubai Police in Jebel Ali and DIP labour camps earlier this year.
