The Red Sea Mall, Jeddah’s biggest shopping center and family entertainment district, has won TripAdvisor’s “Certificate of Excellence” award for best shopping experience in 2015. TripAdvisor, the world's largest travel site, recognized the mall with the award after receiving consistently positive reviews from the mall’s many visitors. The award is just one of many accolades for the mall which was recently awarded the “Best Shopping Experience” by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities.

 

Commenting on the prestigious TripAdvisor award, Mr. Mohammad Alawi, CEO of Red Sea Markets Ltd., said: “It is an honor to receive this award which is testament to the continued success and growing popularity of the mall. This award underscores the success of our strategic growth plan and further emphasizes the fact that running a shopping mall is much more than just renting out stores and locations and providing security and maintenance. A successful mall demands strategic planning and effective teamwork between marketing, operations, and maintenance - and these efforts have been recognized not only by the awards we have been given, but also by the positive feedback we receive from our visitors."

During Ramadan the Red Sea Mall witnessed a substantial increase in visitors with more than 1.5 million people enjoying the mall’s wide choice of shopping, dining and entertainment facilities. In order to cater to its growing customer base, the Mall is in the process of a huge expansion strategy that will see the already spacious mall adding an additional 30 thousand square meters of shopping space, as well as a new parking structure with a capacity of 1350 parking spaces.

 

Mr. Alawi added: “The 200 million SAR expansion is the biggest mall expansion in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We are confident that the additional facilities, including the offering of more international brands and expanding the main gate area, will further enhance our customers’ Red Sea Mall experience.”
