Tilal Liwa Hotel, a secluded hideaway leisure resort perched on the edge of Rub Al Khali Desert, is now preparing for Al Dhafra Festival, a 17-day celebration to revive the Bedouin culture, heritage and history of the Emirate happening from 13th to 29th December in Madinat Zayed, Al Gharbia (The Western Region) Abu Dhabi.

Camel enthusiasts, residents and visitors are all welcomed to enjoy a stay at the Tilal Liwa Hotel during the Festival. The hotel has prepared an exclusive package for the event that includes buffet breakfast for two adults and two children at Al Badiya Restaurant plus a trip to the camel festival.

The festival will host a series of events such as a camel beauty contest, saluki (greyhound), falcon and date packaging competitions, milking camel competition. In addition, there will be many other competitions reflecting the traditions of the UAE such as the Nabati poetry competition, a cooking and photography competition that is a reflection of the festival. 

Traditional market for the UAE’s heritage industries with many specialised shops will also feature in the festival. The event is perfect for those who are looking to get close to the traditional UAE culture.
