The Meydan Hotel has announced the appointment of Jan Hollunder as its new Executive Assistant Manager – Food & Beverage, bringing more than two decades of international hospitality experience on three continents to this award-winning luxury hotel.

 

The German national has started his professional career in 1997 right after completing hotel business studies in Duesseldorf, Germany. Bringing over 20 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry to the role, Jan received invaluable experience in a range of celebrated international properties and hotel chains in various countries including United States of America, United Kingdom, Bahamas, Germany, Qatar, Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Oman and United Arab Emirates.

In his new role, Hollunder will manage all aspects of hotel operations and lead the hotel’s food and beverage service and culinary departments. Furthermore, he will be overseeing the hotel’s in-room dining, banquet food and beverage operations in addition to seven restaurants and lounges including PRIME fine-dining steakhouse, Shiba Chinese and Japanese restaurant, international all-day dining Farriers, relaxing Millennium Lounge, Qube Sports Bar, Shiba Bar and Equus Pool Bar.
