Shaza Al Madina, winner of the Saudi Arabia's Leading Luxury Hotel 2018 Award, has graduated the third group of trainees through the hotel’s Shaza Kifah programme.

 

“The Shaza Kifah Programme provides local Saudi talent with a unique platform where they have countless opportunities to learn excel and develop”, said Amjad Irshaidat – Country GM for Shaza Hotels in KSA. “Conducted by our training specialists, the Kifah programme allows young talents to experience hands on training and discover new horizons of Shaza hospitality.”

 

The Kifah Programme has been specially designed keeping in mind the training and development needs of new local talent, where they interact, learn and grow under professional training of by departmental specialists. 

             

Prior to starting the training course, the trainees meet with officials from the Ministry of Labour, the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) and tourism colleges to introduce them to the Kifah Programme. 

 

All the hotel’s departments have Kifah on the job training on their schedule and the trainees are assigned buddies to accompany them and assist their training.

 

The candidates are screened, interviewed and trained to represent their departments respectively and after completing the one-year course, the trainees are evaluated for potential job placement, especially in the hospitality sector.  

 

In addition to reducing unemployment, the Shaza Kifah programme supports Vision 2030 and its goal to make tourism and hospitality a pillar of the government’s economic diversification strategy, as well as the Ministry of Tourism’s Vision 2021 of preparing Saudis to take the lead of the Tourism and Hospitality sector
