The Panasonic LUMIX DC-G9 was named the ‘Best Mirrorless CSC Expert’, the Panasonic LUMIX DC-GH5s won the ‘Best Professional Photo/Video Camera’ honor and, the Panasonic LUMIX

DC- TZ220 bagged the ‘Best Expert Compact Camera’ plum.

Mr. Kunihiro Tanikura – General Manager, Audio Video Products, Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa, “We are proud that our LUMIX cameras have been presented with the prestigious TIPA honors. This esteemed industry recognition is a solid testament to the excellent quality and cutting-edge technology of our cameras.  It is a well-deserved recognition of Panasonic’s position as a frontrunner in the field of image capture, and this will drive us further to continue to bring the best innovations in our cameras.”

Best Mirrorless CSC Expert: Panasonic LUMIX DC-G9

The newest Panasonic LUMIX DC-G9 is an all-round performer, which has earned it the ‘Best Mirrorless CSC Expert’ award.  The camera was cited for its ability to deliver state-of-the-art image quality paired with an astonishing frame rate.

Other outstanding design features particularly recognized by the awarding body are the mirrorless camera that delivers up to 60 fps in both JPEG and Raw formats, which incorporates DFD-AF with an incredible 0.04 second lock focus speed. The impressive built-in stabilization system means that the camera compensates up to 6.5 stops, as well as providing a high-resolution mode that delivers a staggering 80-megapixel-stills – perfect for capturing those once-in-a-lifetime nature shots.  The camera also has the ability to capture the finest of details with the natural texture and rich imaging from the 3-inch free-angle display, combined with its ultra-sharp OLED-Viewfinder, thus ensuring stunning shots every time.

Best Professional Photo/Video Camera: Panasonic LUMIX DC-GH5s

A favorite of professional photographers, the LUMIX DC-GH5s is a highly versatile camera, designed to handle both ends of the image capture spectrum – both still and video — although it tips the scales towards the video side. Boasting the highest sensitivity of any LUMIX camera, particularly in low light, this is one of the standout features that enables images to be captured as the human eye sees them; regardless of low-lit surroundings.

The camera’s 10.2MP High Sensitivity MOS sensor utilizes “Dual Native ISO Technology” to dig into even the darkest areas, allowing high ISO capture without supplemental lighting. With Panasonic’s LUMIX technology, the GH5S also allows numerous video capture options, including cinema 4K/60p and Full HD/200Mbps.

Moreover, the GH5S has been created to deliver 14-bit Raw images at 11 fps. In 12-bit the frequency increases to 12 fps, ensuring photographs maintain the highest of professional standards. When transferred to the editing stage, it features dual card slots with numerous output connections, including HDMI and USB-C to seamlessly transfer the image data.

Best Expert Compact Camera: Panasonic LUMIX DC-TZ220

The newest compact camera is a portable performer for On-the-Go photographers.  The LUMIX TZ200A is a pocketable, wide-range zoom camera that offers a wide range of features and excellent image quality, popular configurations favored by pros and enthusiasts alike. The 1-inch 20.1MP High sensitivity MOS sensor can be set up to ISO 12,800 or expanded to ISO 25,600, making it a great low light performer. The integral Leica DC lens covers 24-360mm, with close-focusing capability of 3 cm Macro, and built-in 5-axis stabilization.  The TZ200, meanwhile, offers 4K 30p and Raw/JPEG still recording with an impressive Live View finder that allows for excellent viewing even in bright light.
