A Casa truly Fit for The Kingdom! Regional Nando’s and Landmark Group officials joined the Nando’s Tahlia Street, Riyadh team in the grand opening ceremony of the Middle East’s biggest Casa yesterday. A flagship location for the famed Afro-Portuguese style, flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken restaurant chain, where Ibrahim Al Jarallah- Deputy Managing Director of Star Group Holdings, Jardine Omar - official representative of the south African Embassy - Economic Counsellor, Embassy of South Africa; Antonio Gaivao -  official representative of the Embassy of Portugal - Councellor, Embassy of Portugal; Richard Barclay - COO (Chief Operations Officer) Foodmark; and  Carlo Aoun - Territory Head, Landmark Hospitality joined hand in the cutting of the ribbon, marking the official opening of the venue.

The VIP evening was the talk of the town and  included traditional entertainment by “Al Dereyeh Band” who performed a cultural “Arda Dance”. The Nandocas “Nando’s staff” created a unique art masterpiece about the opening. The staff were kept busy, serving a delicious spread of Nando’s PERi-PERi chicken favourites to guests, showcasing the 818 sqm, 302 seat, multi-story Tahlia Street restaurant in all its glory a signature Nando’s Casa, and the largest ever built in the Middle East, the dynamic, handpainted shopfront uses traditional African-influenced patterns combined with hand-carved clay designs, transporting the customer to the cultural roots of the brand upon entry. A dedicated family area offers and element of privacy on the upper level, with the main dining area downstairs providing an open, social experience.
