NAMSHI.COM AND EMIRATES RED CRESCENT FORM PARTNERSHIP TO DONATE ITEMS TO SYRIAN REFUGEES

As part of its continuous efforts to serve the community and support humanitarian initiatives, leading online fashion retailer, Namshi.com, has announced its official partnership, with UAE-based humanitarian authority, Emirates Red Crescent, as it prepares to donate 5,800 items to a Syrian refugee camp, which is based in Jordan.

In cooperation with the charity, Namshi.com will send a special shipment of both apparel and shoes from the site to the refugee camp during the holy month of Ramadan, in order to provide comfortable clothing and footwear for the refugees based at the facility. Partnering with humanitarian establishment, Emirates Red Crescent, to donate the items was a natural fit for the local fashion e-tailer as the charity holds the rank of fourth on the list of the UAE’s top donors, offering 154.19 million US dollars in foreign assistance in 2013.

Commenting on the partnership, Hosam Arab, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Namshi.com said: “We’re looking forward to partnering with a charity that holds a special place in the hearts of the local community and the team are all very proud to be part of this UAE initiative as we give back to our neighbours in Jordan through providing clothing to those in need.”
