Ministry plans to provide school books, material on electronic portal

The Ministry of Education is in the process of implementing a project to provide e-books and other e-library material for the entire school curriculum on one single electronic portal.
The move comes in line with the decision of Education Minister Azzam Al-Dakhil to adopt developmental initiatives in setting the school curriculum which, according to him, should go beyond the traditional stereotypes of single-dimension education and encourage students with e-learning tools.

Mohammad Al-Zughaibi, general supervisor of the school curriculum and educational programs, who is also the CEO of Tatweer Company for Education Services, said that the project would assist students to follow up on their learning process according to their needs and their individual capabilities.

“All digital material and content will be selectively available for learners, and will both accompany and supplement the printed school textbooks in a rich and interactive learning environment,” said Al-Zughaibi.
