Middle East Cyber Security Summit 2017 kicks off in Riyadh

The 3 rd Annual Middle East Cyber Security 2017 was successfully launched at the Riyadh Marriott Hotel, Saudi Arabia today. The event is organized by Nispana Innovative Platforms in association with DNJ, Saudi Arabia. The theme is “Critical infrastructure information protection - key to cyber readiness” The event features prominent speakers like Russel Gann, CIO, Ministry of the National Guard; Professor Basel Alomair, Founding Director - National Center for Cyber Security Technologies (C4C), King Abdulaziz City for Science; Abdul Rashid Samater – Ministry of Justice; Ali Fateh – President, ISACA Riyadh; Michael Steed, Founder & Managing Partner, Paladin Capital Group; Gordon Lawson, Senior Vice President - Global Sales, PhishMe; Mr. Abdus Saboor- Cyber Security Leader, EITC just to name a few. Mr. Narendra Kumar – Managing Director, Nispana Innovative Platforms mentioned that this summit focusses on future expected threats and measures, also aims at global collaboration of public, private and academic sectors to collaborate. The event had a large number of senior IT, Information security, ICT and cyber security officials to discuss, find strategic directions and plans to tackle emerging threats to the regional information security sector. The highlight of the day was the opening keynote by Russel Gann, CIO, and Ministry of the National Guard which set the tone for the further deliberations in the day. The interactive panel discussion on “Collaboration between governments & private sector and establishing Public - Private Partnerships (PPPs) to manage threats to critical Information Infrastructures” and the various round table discussions hosted by had very good participation from the attending delegates. Some of the prominent attendees included senior officials from Ministry of Agriculture; Ministry of Health; Ministry of Interior; National Guard Health Affairs; Royal Saudi Air Force; General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA); King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology; SAMA; Arab National Bank; Khatib & Alami just to name a few. EITC featured as the Platinum sponsor while PHISHME, Reeve Systems, Phoenix International, Paladin capital Group featured as the round table co-hosts whilst Security Matterz as Networking Solution Providers. ISACA featured as Associate Partner.
