Maggi’s 1000 Women for Good Makes Ramadan Extra Special for Almost 14,000 Families in Need

MAGGI®’s ‘1000 Women For Good’ initiative, first launched in 2012, has maintained its yearly collaboration with more than 1,000 women in KSA, Jordan and Lebanon to provide nearly 14,000 underprivileged families in the region with food boxes to help prepare nutritious and tasty meals during this holy month of Ramadan.

In May, the brand joined hands with several NGOs in the region: the Lebanese Food Bank in Lebanon distributed over 4,000 boxes, Tkiyet Um Ali in Jordan distributed over 4.500 boxes and Together Society in KSA distributed 5,000 boxes. The campaign with the help of MAGGI ambassadors helped recruit volunteers and prepare food boxes to be distributed to families in need.

The boxes contained essential food items such as soup, rice, pasta, tomato paste, lentils, vegetable oil, milk and flour, and were delivered to homes in the region to ensure families have enough to prepare for meals while encouraging healthy eating habits.

Commenting on the initiative, Emile Douaihy, Business Executive Officer for MAGGI at Nestlé Middle East said: “Since 2012, MAGGI has been providing a platform which enables women to contribute to their communities, as well as empowering and inspiring them to make a difference in their own lives, and the lives of those less fortunate. This year, we made sure to maintain our collaboration to encourage more people across the region to share the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, and make a significant difference in the lives of others."
