After a grueling 4 weeks of matches in Northern Emirates, Michel Salgado and the LaLiga Scouts announced today the selection of top talents from Northern Emirates who will be invited to a 2-day intensive training clinic in Dubai in March.

 

The scouting platform was expanded this year to include players from the boys U-14 category, creating a greater opportunity for young football talents to pursue their passions in football and begin training at the du LaLiga High Performance Centre, at its home at the Sevens in Dubai from April 2017.

 

Speaking about the caliber of talents in the second season of duFC, Championship Director, Michel Salgado said, “It was great to see some of the players from last year returning to duFC having spent a year training and preparing themselves for the opportunity to be discovered.   This platform has discovered some great talents in its first year and with the addition of the U14 category I am certain that we are developing some of the future stars of football.”

 

The duFC Clinic will provide the nation’s 60 best football talents with the finest opportunity to showcase their skills before the final selection of the top U16 and U14 players who will begin their training at the du LaLiga HPC in April.  Talents in the U16 category will travel to Spain in August for a 3-week training clinic and competitive matches with the LaLiga’s strongest youth clubs.  

 

 

 

The duFC international youth scouting platform in partnership with LaLiga, the first of its kind in the UAE, will create an ongoing pipeline of pro-football players for both national and international clubs and teams.
